I’ve been sitting on your doorstep for three days. Here are the nothings I left under the mat: i.I do not feel like a lion anymore, an alpha wolf, a hyena or any other strong-willed beast. ii. Today, I want to take my scars out to lunch, feed them your eyes, & your tongue until it bleeds sorrow, and “please forgive me’s”. iii. you’re a temperamental bitch that moans when I go. You compare alcohol to happiness. You creep from throats & bones like some hungry monster. But Poetry, language was invented for you. it's ironic, isn't it? the way they say "hunger gnaws" like the way our teeth scrape against bones. for all the calories that are counted, you still feel empty. you aren't beautiful until you are digesting nothing but air and maybe your own guilt. that's just the way living is these days: swallowing glass shards to slice up your insides so you can ignore the other kind of pain your stomach is feeling. but when people ask if you're doing okay you just smile and nod even though you can't help but think "if honesty was tangible, i'd eat it right now." life has an acquired taste and some days you'd like to rip your tongue out.

Other boys tell me I’d look best disheveled, firmly pressed against their skin. & they know I am girl- from the curve of my hips, to this jutting collarbone, lonely of love bites & bruises. But, your hands shape falsities out of my limbs with a tongue speaking of me in riddles; Isabella, Christine. Today I realized how much of a creep I am.

Routine. What an ugly word... It sounds so gross. School, homework, work, sleep. Over, over, and over again. I need to do something different today. I did something different today. I was on facebook, and I saw one of my friends had liked some person's instagram picture of an ipod touch note saying "text me!! (insert number here) oh let me know who you are by the way. :)". I could not believe the ridiculousness of this kid. He/she is definitely going to get themself molested by some creepy old guy sitting at his computer in nothing but boxers. Writing helps me grow.

The most obvious benefit (to me anyway) of a drivers license: you can drive. Far, far away. For a little while at least. And that's exactly what I did yesterday. I felt a lot better after that. I felt more in control, calm. The only problem was, I had to go back. That's what sucks about life; as a child you think to yourself, "When I grow up and have my own job, I'll have it together. I'll have my own house, my own car, I'll be independent! ^_^". Then suddenly, you hit 18. You start growing into your own person and deciding what your own opinions are. You feel good and free. But your changing doesn't look too good to some friends
